Super sleek scale, seems fairly accurate and good value. Has definitely enhanced my coffee and matcha setup!

Precise

Precise. Which is what you really want from a scale. 4/5 due to battery. Maybe just mine, but I have had it for 5-6 months and the battery doesn’t keep its charge for more than a few days. It used to keep its charge for 10+ days.

Stopped working

Worked fine though starting time was slow at times. Just a short year after the purchase it started having problems starting up and then stopped completely.
Feels like they were programmed to do this, but maybe just low quality of internal components.

Way too pricey for a piece that will stop working in a year . Should cost like $10.

Nice upgrade!

My AWS scale finally succumbed to a small water spill so I sought a replacement and was piqued by the Black Mirror. It is beautiful and more importantly seems very accurate. The touch controls were easy to learn and so far work nicely. I'm glad I purchased it.

Was never delivered

Well, I know for a fact this is a great scale but I had to buy it AGAIN on amazon because 8 ounces uses Canpar, a delivery company that,,, does not deliver. Like literally. Do yourself a favor and doesn't buyfrom 8 Onces.

Just Get This

I have the black mirror Nano for travel and it's great. I got this for a friend and would definitely buy it for myself if I was starting my coffee journey from square one. I have an Acaia Pearl and I wish this existed when I bought the Acaia as it would have saved me a bunch of money.

Great scale. Responds quickly and accurately - slightly larger than I’d like but fits my espresso machine.

Love it

I’m a bit of a coffee nerd and my new scale has enhanced the ritual of my morning coffee.

Pretty good but not very accurate

Relatively economic choice for a scale. Works fine as coffee or kitchen scale as long as you are not weighing anything more than a kilogram. Sometimes the scale jumps 0.1g up and down, not sure why.

Works great

I have loved using this scale to improve my pour over skills!

Such a powerful little scale! It has exactly the features I want and a crisp look. I specifically am happy with the gram accuracy, flow rate, and timer. It works amazing for honing in your pour over but also for weight and timing French press. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to friends.

The timer can be set to automatically start with the pour over, however I do find this feature a bit finicky and opt to set it automatically instead. It is literally one tap to start the timer so I find this worth the added control.

Good, but massive

Solid scale, quick, accurate. Auto timing and pour rate features are nice. This thing is a brick though. So big. Unfortunately they charge so much money when I don’t even think the battery lasts longer than my much smaller and slightly cheaper scale from a competitor.

More than enough

Does all the things you need a scale to do plus more. Just don't remove the sticker until you memorized what they do.

Move to the Light!

The scale works perfectly. The flow rate feature is handy. Everything you need to make your brews consistent. The price was right. Works with USB-C charging port.

Does it all

This is a big step up for me in my espresso set up. Easy to keep everything clean with silicone mat that fits over top as well. Have made several purchases at this point with Eight Ounce. Everything is always packed well and arrives quickly as I’m in Ottawa.

A Good Coffee Scale at a Good Price

A good coffee scale at a good price. This is my second TIMEMORE. My first one lasted about 2 years before giving up the ghost. I hope I am second time lucky with this TIMEMORE from Eight Ounce.

Great scale for pour over

I did a bit of research online before getting this scale and am glad that I finally decided to go for it. I was looking for a basic scale without any smart phone connectivity features. It's an affordable scale compared to others and I've found no issues so far.

I wanted to address a couple points that I heard in reviews during my research that I think are really non-issues where people were just looking to be nitpicky:

1. The touch sensitivity being too sensitive... Well, yes it is pretty sensitive, but is that really an issue? This scale is specifically made for pour-overs, not for espresso machines. I get that if you try to use it with an espresso machine and water gets on it, then it could mess with the measurement since the touch sensitivity is very sensitive, but frankly it should not be used with an espresso machine anyway. This scale is too big to be placed on the drip tray of most espresso machines, since the entire scale needs to be on a flat surface to give accurate readings. There is a new version that is smaller and meant for use with espresso machines if that is what you are looking for. I have no issue with the touch sensitivity for pour over.

2. That the tare button is attached to the scale, therefore causing it to mess with the measurement when you press tare... This is a non-issue. Yes, when you press tare there is a moment where the display shows the weight of you pressing a button, but that's with most scales and after a second it tares to 0 which is what the whole point of pressing tare was anyway, so it's a non-issue.

As a note, I chose the black scale because it seems easier to see the display. I saw a video of the white one and it seems a bit more difficult to see the display on the white version, which I also heard in some reviews, though I can't attest to this personally.

Great coffee scale

I use this mostly with pour over, and it has been great. The timer and pour flow are super helpful tools for getting a consistently great cup of coffee.
I did have a hard time using it with espresso as it seems the scale is very sensitive to the vibration of the machine.
