  • PRESS FOR GREAT COFFEE

A simple and modern take on the French Press, TIMEMORE's Small U French Press has everything you need. Made out of quality heat resistant glass with a fine mesh stainless steel filter, a protective plastic sleeve helps keep your coffee hot and stop you from burning your hand.

With a 450ml (15oz) capacity, you can make enough coffee for two or just one big cup!

    • Available in Black or White
    • Capacity: 450ml (15oz)
    • Heat resistant borosilicate glass
    • 0.35mm high density stainless steel filter mesh
    • Polypropylene Insulating Sleeve
    • Food Grade Silicone
    • Easy to clean
  • The simple method:

    1. Measure out 25 grams of coffee and grind it to a medium grind
    2. Start timer and add just-off-boiling water 97°C (207°F) to full weight (375g) while pouring in circles to ensure saturation of grinds
    3. Now wait until the timer reads 4 minutes
    4. Gently swirl the brew to break the crust that has formed.
    5. Place the plunger on top and gently push it down
    6. Gently pour the coffee into your mug through the filter
    7. Enjoy!

    Our preferred method:

    1. Start timer and add just-off-boiling water 97°C (207°F) to full weight (375g) while pouring in circles to ensure saturation of grinds
    2. Now wait for 4:00 and do not place plunger on top of pot
    3. It is important to stop the extraction at 4:00; to do this use a spoon to gently break the crust with light stirring— make sure to not overly agitate the coffee
    4. Take two spoons and carefully remove the foam that is covering the surface, discard into sink. This may seem awkward to manipulate at first, but this important step will remove the bitter and oily sludge, which means a cleaner cup
    5. This is where the variable brewing time comes into play: you can wait for another minute and decant your brew at 5:00, but the longer you wait, the more sediment sinks to the bottom, and in turn, your final result is even less gritty and sweeter
    6. At 8:00 take your plunger and DO NOT PLUNGE to the bottom as this will disturb and churn up all those grinds which we patiently waited for to settle. Instead think of the plunger and metal screen as a final filter, and hold it just above the surface of the coffee.
    7. Carefully decant the coffee through the metal screen into your cups.
    8. Enjoy!

So happy.

I am so delighted with this french press ....I've never liked the more usual/traditional design of most presses, but this one ...simple, beautiful, easy to clean. I'm very happy.

Excellent french press for use away from home

I bought this to use at my office. I bring my hand grinder with me each morning and sneak some beans out of the keurig drip machine at work ;)

The French press makes a great cup of coffee; night and day difference vs the automatic machine despite using the same beans. It is also big enough to make a good sized cup (closer to 12oz/350ml).

The plunger is very smooth so very few grinds are poured out. Everything feels like it was made with tight tolerances.

Nice Little French Press

I needed a travel companion for those times when I need something simple yet functional. the form factor packs nicely in my suitcase and makes enough to share as well. fits my desires just right.

Functions great

Perfect size for my larger mugs.
I have been using this for a year now. The plastic sleeve is the perfect thickness. It never gets too hot to the touch even if I forget and steep the tea too long.
The find mesh plunger is a great size. I haven't had any problems with anything passing through it when I plunge, regardless of the tea type

Nice french press

Does what it needs to do, good for tea as well
Rubber ring between glass and plastic outer layer does too good of a job keeping it in place, hard to take off to wash if you want to separate the 2.
