I've used Chemex brewers of various sizes and shapes, but this one makes the perfect amount of coffee.

I'm not sure where Chemex gets its cup measurements from, but I find the 8-cup size is perfect for brewing two mugs of coffee in the morning to share. It's easy to use a smaller dry dose to brew for one, but the other sizes don't do as good of a job making coffee for two.

I recommend anyone in a multiple-coffee-a-morning household to go for the 8-cup rather than a smaller size.

Beautiful way to brew coffee in larger batches, while maintaining great taste. My partner and I got tired of using an Aeropress when we had guests over, and this is the perfect solution! It’s nice for just the two of us, as well. Love a great pour over coffee!

This is my daily coffee method for getting great tasting cups each morning. The Chemex is a brewer I highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean smooth cup of coffee. Eight Ounce Coffee is my go to for coffee gear - fair prices and great delivery service.

A must-have classic, and a better size than the larger 13-cup version.

Have used this every single day since I bought it and I couldn’t be happier. It’s at such an awesome price point that I honestly didn’t expect it to hold up as well as it has been. It’s a little old school but it is amazing coffee. I love making coffee using the pour over. The subtleties of the coffee is highlighted and the powdery residue from the French press gone...delicious. Looking forward to exploring more coffee beans. Eight ounce is knowledgeable and very helpful.

for many years I used a coffee maker for speeding convenience in the mornings ,...okay but not great...during the COVID19 sanctions my son, home from university, and I decided to forgo drive throughs and coffee shops managing with walk up windows and start experimenting with good coffee at home after much research. hence the Chemex, a good burr grinder, a gooseneck kettle and some highly rated coffee beans .....a huge difference and a welcome addition to mornings

You're probably here for the beautiful design or the beautiful colour of the coffee from a Chemex. I have many different ways of brewing coffee available to me, but I really love the Chemex over all else for its clean cup. After doing my research, I settled on the "8 cup" version because I wanted to brew 2–4 mugs of coffee at a time. I now start every morning by sharing a cup of coffee with my partner before we start our day. We brew 500mL total which fills the brewer to the glass button on the side (2x 250mL mugs of coffee, using 30g coffee). I've brewed everything from 400mL to 800mL in this, and I'd recommend this version for 2–4 people. (If you're aiming to brew 1–2 people, check out the 6cup version).

My partner and I have always just used french press for coffee but we've always wanted to get into pour over. After some research, we thought Chemex is perfect for what we needed and after some further research, we found Eight Ounce Coffee, and it was the best! Eight Ounce not only had the Chemex in all sizes, it had the best price that we could find. The site also has all the other accessories that you need: filter, lid, cleaning brush and all with very reasonable prices (much better than Amazon). The best part is, the business is Canadian, so one more reason to support!! We will definitely be a long term customer and getting all of our coffee brewing related supplies from them!

I bought a chemex a while ago (before discovering this AMAZING website). I do not regret my purchase at all!
I is a nice kit for poor over coffee making. You get exactly what you expect plus a little more since it's beautiful.

Tips: being a minimalist, my chemex doubles as a lot of purpose such as wine carafe, pitcher for hot summer days refreshing drinks.
It is perfect for what it's intended to be, and even more!

As the only coffee drinker in my household, I never felt I needed a Chemex. I use my Kalita Wave pour over and Aeropress most mornings, but love the ability to brew more when friends come over or want more than one cup. I wish I gave in and purchased this earlier!

This is a very elegant coffee maker. The taste is great (also bought the hario hand grinder from eightouncecoffee). You need about 20 grams of coffee minimum for 2 small cups of coffee. The hard part is the pouring I find. I've been trying about 5 times now, but still feel like I need more practice, kind of like espresso making, just a whole lot different process!

Its a beautiful coffee maker with a permentnet place on my countertop. It makes a fine cup of coffee and used in tandem with the coffee stock cloth filters its cost effective way to make coffee.

Generally brewing 400ml-600ml of coffee in this at a time. The Chemex filters really do reduce bitterness, and it's generally a really nice, bright cup. Requires a coarser grind than most other cones due to the thicker filters. Usually aiming for a brew time of 3:30-4 minutes including bloom. More coffee requires a coarser grind.

Easy to clean, just need to rinse it after decanting. Seems mostly durable. I find it's a pretty handsome coffee brewer too. The girlfriend disagrees. Recommended for a no fuss solution to coffee brewing - Provided you get the grind right.
