BARATZA Virtuoso Burr Set

Excellent upgrade

Fits my encore grinder perfectly and grinds fast!

Been using the Encore daily for close to a decade for filter coffee and it hasn’t missed a beat. Getting into espresso and even at the lowest grind setting was not close to an espresso grind with lots of coarse chunks.

Got this upgrade and getting a great espresso grind around 7. Also replaced the hopper and gasket and it’s better than new.

I've had my Virtuoso for about 10 years now, and it was time to replace the burrs. I decided to replace the burrs by myself, and as long as you have instructions from Baratza and the right tools handy, it's not difficult. If you haven't taken apart your Encore/Virtuoso before, the process could take a while, but it's rewarding. Otherwise, it may be worthwhile to have one of the repair techs to do the replacement for you.

Super easy to install, Baratza’s repairability and documentation is amazing.

I estimate that I was able to grind about 200kg on my original set of burrs and it's great that Baratza offers parts so that you can do DIY repairs. I was able to install it quite easily by following along various videos on youtube.

Worked as advertised. Installation is a bit tricky, but there are guides out there.

Very easy to install on my encore with the baratza video. I noticed the grinder has a somewhat easier time grinding lighter roasts at a finer grind for drip that I prefer with better consistency. Other than that I haven’t tested it much but that’s all I was trying to achieve.

I didn't think our burrs were worn on our Encore based on my visual inspection .... turns out they were. These were a fairly straightforward swapout for the stock ones to upgrade our encore. All the Encores come with the GB2 gearbox so can use the M2 burr set instead of the stock M3. It's a good opportunity to give your grinder a thorough cleaning while it's apart. The trickiest part of the installation is releasing the cover from the base.
Check out Baratza's website for helpful videos for the teardown and installation. Similar to other users - huge improvement in speed and slightly quieter while grinding.

This burr set works perfectly for the Encore which only takes 20-30min. Not only did it improve the grind quality but it’s quieter and faster.

Now that the burr is on I'm really pleased with the results. The one caution I'd give is that the installation is a bit more difficult than I anticipated. The machine is fairly easy to disassemble which is really nice. The only real difficulty I had was getting the old burr off in the last step and then getting the new burr attached to the gear. All in all though between YouTube and Baratza's own documentation it wasn't too bad and as I said, I'm really pleased with the results. Also gave me an opportunity to deep clean the inside of my Encore which was great!

I have 2 Baratza Preciso grinders that needed new burrs and these work great. I really like how Baratza makes all of their grinders very user serviceable with replacement parts and videos available.

I originally ordered just the plastic ring but then cancelled the order with now problem at all. I then ordered a whole new burr set and it was shipped and arrived quickly. Fit perfectly. Would definitely order pieces from them again and would highly recommend to others.

the plastic tabs were broken off on my burr holder, so since i had to replace that anyway i thought i'd upgrade my burr set at the same time. Glad i did! The grind time is around half of what it used to be, and it's quieter too. I haven't gotten all scientific about the grind consistency, but it sure does taste as good if not better than before.

I was never completely satisfied with the results from my encore. It was good but not great. After 3 years of owning one and using it everyday I decided it was time to try new burrs. When I realized the m2 burrs fit my encore I had to try it.

So far the benefits have been: quieter, more consistent grind, way less ultra fines which were chocking my pours.

All in all this was the best thing I could ever do to an encore. Highly recommend it!

Kit works good essy to install

My son in law was able to replace the burr fairly easily and is happy with the results. The grider is a bit noisier it seems but other than that working just fine.

Just was worrying that it will fit - because on picture central burr is shown upside-down. Fit well.
