  • Breaking News! The Fellow Ode has answered the prayers of the Cult of Coffee Believers. Rejoice and be glad! We've been longing for a brew grinder that will give us cafe grade performance and will look good on a countertop. What is the Ode in reference to? Itself? Fellow Believers? Let's take a closer look.

With professional-grade, 64 mm flat burrs, the Ode will give you consistent, even grounds with minimal boulders and fines. No need to worry about waking your significant other while you're trying to surprise them with breakfast in bed - the Ode is whisper quiet. AND it will auto stop once it's finished grinding - so you can focus on flipping your pancakes or pre-wetting your filter. The magnetic grounds catch is smooth, satisfying, and secure. To top it all off, there's a grounds knocker! Hallelujah! All of us burnt out baristas who miss knocking out the last bits of coffee on a Mahlkonig EK43 get to relive that satisfying experience on the Ode - leaving you with minimal grind retention.

The Ode is designed to be a single dose grinder - that means bye bye giant hopper and hello to your coffee staying fresher, longer. Fear not, the small hopper can accommodate 80g of coffee - plenty for your big batch brews. With its small footprint, thoughtful design, and premium finish, the Ode is the answer to your home grinding needs and then some. Stop doubting and start believing.

This 120V model is only compatible with outlets in the US and Canada. To find an international retailer near you, head HERE. Ode Brew Grinder is not an espresso grinder nor suitable for moka pots.

A fantastic BREW grinder

A phenomenal brew grinder for home. It does NOT do espresso, but for brew and filter methods it is hard to beat at this price point. The newer (2021) grinders should come with the updated burrs which allows you to go fine enough for light roasts in v60 which is great. Overall very happy with the grinder and Eight Ounce Coffee!

Much better than I thought.

Actually I was discouraged to buy it after watching some YouTube reviews. However, after a while (mostly because I liked other Fellow products) I said: you know what, let's buy it. And I am really enjoying. I still haven't used option 1 because I need to grind more beans according to the manual. But Ode grinds perfect for pour-over and French press.

A joy to use

We have been making coffee at home for over a year now, and finally decided to get a decent home coffee setup that would also look amazing on our counter! After first getting the Fellow Stagg EKG pour over kettle, we thought this would look lovely beside it, and WHOA does it ever :) It's also a joy to use, the auto-off is a game-changer. We love this grinder so much!!!

Great for brew coffee

I've been using the grinder for a couple weeks now. It's my first higher end grinder, so I don't have a great basis of comparison with other offerings. That being said it feels really well-built and does its task well: grind brew coffee. What I love about it is the quietness, speed, and auto-off. It's also aesthetically pleasing and matches perfectly with my other brewing equipment. I do appreciate the lack of hopper which keeps its profile low and slim. All in all a great grinder.

It's a fantastic BREW grinder

I love my Ode. Huge upgrade from my previous grinder. But reading through the reviews I have to point out that this is a BREW grinder. People are saying they are disappointed becasue it doesn't grind for their espresso - but the hint is in the name of the product. It's for brewed coffee / filter coffee, and it does an outstanding job of it. This grinder goes very very fine for a BREW grinder - but don't expect it to grind espresso grind for you. That's a different type of grinder.

Good but not perfect.

I purchased the grinder with great reviews. Unfortunately it performed very bad for my intended expresso ( more semi-manual type)
The manual says it’s not for expresso machines but they also don’t want u to use the lowest settings grind until ten pounds of coffee have gone through the grinder.
I think these limitations should be more forthcoming in the unit description

Beautiful Daily Grinder!

I've had this grinder for about a month now, and it's been a joy to use. I was on the fence for a few months about whether to buy it cause it's so pricy, but I can say it's definitely been worth it!

PROS:
- Small form factor - and looks great on the countertop
- The grind is super consistent and extremely quick (usually 4-5 seconds for 30g of beans)
- Build quality is top notch. I didn't realize it was so solidly built - pleasantly surprised!

CONS:
- Retention takes some trial and error to minimize mess, but hasn't been a huge issue.
- My one lingering gripe so far has been that, when plugged in - it produces a faint but consistent high pitched noise. I've tried plugging it into different outlets to see if that was the source of the issue, but the sound persists. I'm not sure if this is a common problem or something to do with my grinder specifically. It's not a big issue, doesn't affect the performance and I just unplug it when it's not in use.
