    Process: Natural
    Partner importer: Osito coffee

Last year was our first time buying the Shoondhisa, and it was clear early on it was going to be a staple for us.
This is our second time buying from Ture Waji, owner of Sookoo coffee, via our import partner Osito.
Sookoo coffee's first client and partner was in fact Osito, and they have a very close working relationship.

Since the price for cherries is quite stable in Ethiopia, the difference in the coffee prices from the country comes from the steps exporters take after the cherries were bought. And Ture Waji is renowned for his meticulous process and high quality coffee.
Some will do minimal work and sell ''typical'' naturals, and other like Ture will produce a stellar product.

Shoondhisa is one of the cleanest natural Ethiopian we know and we are happy to have it on your menu year round.
Its floral and fruity tone finishes in a subtle honey like sweetness. It's a beautiful coffee.

Great coffee

We’ll balanced. Not acidic. I found it tasted better in a V60 than a chemex.

Nice balance

I love that this coffee is fruity and floral without being overwhelmingly acidic.

Strawberry notes for days

Really good, floral cup with strawberry punching straight through. I've never had a cup with such strong strawberry notes but its complemented well by the tea-like lavender and violet flavours.

Really solid

A very solid cup. I love natural coffees and this one was right up there on the list of great ones I have had. Definitely will buy again!

Vibrant and Exciting

I brewed using an aeropress with a grind on the finer side of medium and 92 degree water. The first sip mimics the experience of biting into a ripe nectarine. The acid is pleasant and leaves your mouth watering for more. The floral notes come and go, but the star of the show for me was the fruit. I will definitely get this again.

Decent enough

I read some of the other reviews and did not get the same explosive fruit Certainly a lovely cup but the fruit wasn't so specific or vibrant for me (I tried a few different pour-overs and even french press).
