Tasting Notes: Mango, Red Ripe Fruits, Cocoa

This experimental lot is inspired by the emotional connection of the producer's family to the coffee community as a whole. Coffee farming, processing, and distribution for consumption have been kept in silos and their family believes this can change. The idea of this coffee is to provide the most authentic coffee cup of Rwandan coffee to coffee lovers, making the consumer think of the producer as the grower also keeps the buyer in mind when processing the coffee.

Very fruity, high clarity.

DAK hits it out of the park yet again. This is my first Rwandan coffee I’ve ever tried and I’m very satisfied. Natural anaerobics are generally not my favourite because I’ve had some really over-the-top funky, almost alcoholic-like, experiences in the past. Not pleasant for me. This, though, is not that. There’s a very faint, almost imperceptibly buried funky note but instead of being a detraction I find it actually enhances the corresponding bright tropical fruit notes. It’s just so sweet and fruity. It has a very light, tea-like body, which makes sense as this is a *very* lightly roasted coffee. I hope they get the 1000g bags of this back in stock!

Great coffee!

The fruit notes are quite nteresting and complex for the price, and the cocoa comes through nicely as well. Solid value for an every day cup!

Milky Cake is my favorite, but this one is amazing!

So happy I found this store and can purchase this brand of coffee. It is my new favorite! I cannot find it anywhere and was very excited when I found it.

Bright and fruity

This coffee is stunning—bright mango and red fruit notes balanced with deep cocoa.

Magical

As mentioned in other reviews this coffee does interesting things with temperature. I like it both ways, higher extraction and intensity, lower extraction and clarity.

Complex and Juicy

Dialing in this coffee was very interesting, at higher temps you get the tropical fruits, but a bit of the processing comes through. I dialed it back to around 92C and man was this a delight. Got the mango and cacao notes and the after taste was like Pina colada ish. Very good, would purchase again!
