    Rosso Direct

Coffee is steamed for 30 minutes prior to decaffeination then Coffee is placed in a solution of water and Ethyl Acetate (EA.) a naturally occurring compound and solvent derived through the fermentation of sugarcane. Green coffee is submerged in the solvent, which naturally bonds to the salts of chlorogenic acids within the coffee, allowing for the extraction of caffeine. Once the coffee is saturated, the tank is drained and fresh solution is introduced. The final low-pressure steaming removes the remaining traces of EA. Decaffeinated coffee is then dried, physically polished to ensure cleanliness, and packaged to export.

Tastes Great

Tastes great compared to other decaf I've tried.

Finally...A Lighter-roasted EA Dacaf!

This might be the best EA-processed decaf you can buy from a Canadian roaster, if you liked a lighter roast level. Usually SWP decafs are roasted really dark, but this is more like a medium roast (maybe even lighter), similar to the medium roast decaf from Detour (which unfortunately they begin roast much darker now) and Regalia's decaf. Brew with paper-filter method is good and smooth but try the metal/cloth filters, the oils are really making this coffee shining through.

A Coffee I Can Drink All Day Long

The espresso tastes good for a wide range of inputs when I dial-in. I drink this coffee for an additional cup without overdosing myself with caffeine and ended up experimenting different special drinks all day long.

Good decaf

Not too much acidity, pretty good for a late afternoon coffee

Good coffee

It made a good cup in the aeropress and my friend loves it in his espresso machine. I feel like the roast is a slight touch more developed than Elysian, 49th Parallel, and Phil & Seb styles. Well worth it!

Probably the best decaf I've ever had

Rosso says it's roasted for filter, but I run it as espresso for late night cappuccinos and it's been beautiful. I do a pretty basic 18.5 g in 39 g out in 25 seconds and I'm getting lots of chocolate and some dried fruit flavours. Works very well with a bit of steamed milk.

Retry good

A bit lighter than I was expecting, but the flavour was still really nice. Used it for pour over on my new setup and am now addicted to my evening cup of decaf. Would purchase again.
