Rooftop - Las Segovias

Luis Alberto Balladarez is coming from a legacy of coffee farmers and operates several farms in the Mozonte municipality of Nueva Segovia. These farms routinely place high in the Cup of Excellence, a competition he actually won this year. This lot is a community blend of various small farms in the Nueva Segovia. These farmers have their coffees processed at Beneficio Las Segovias, and they are mixed and sold together as a combined regional blend. These sorts of mixed lots present an opportunity for smaller producers to have their coffees sold on the specialty market, even if their production is too small for the coffee to be processed on its own.
